Ragnarok Online or widely known as RO, is a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) by Gravity Co., Ltd. The game is based on the comic book Ragnarok by a Korean autor, Lee Myung-Jin. The game was first released on 2002 in its home base, South Korea.

The game is mainly based on a Norse mythology but the storyline has been modified and has a Christian and Asian culture influence. There is also an animated series created called Ragnarok the Animation. Some servers are pay-to-play while others are free-to-play. There are also free private servers which have a higher experience and drop rate rather than the official server.

The base of Ragnarok Online is on its job system. Each character starts with a novice character. When they reach level 10, they are able to choose their first job class. They can choose classes such as swordman, mage, thief and many more. The next job class would be the second job class. The class that the player has chosen on the first job change would be upgraded to the secondary level.

After getting a base level of 99, they would then rebirth back to level 1 and would then upgrade themselves to the transcendent class. This class is the final class available to the character.

The Player vs. Player or PvP in this game is different from other online games. Instead of being able to kill at anytime in any map, the players will have to go on a PvP map to be able to do so. They would have to talk to the PvP master and then warped to a mock town map for PvP. There are two types of PvP available.

Players are also able to join guilds and every guild is permitted to join the guild wars or the War of Emperium (WoE). WoE could happen in any two hours of the week which depends on the configuration of the server. The guilds would fight for a number of castles available in the game.

To gain control of the castle, the guild would have to reach their way on the fourth floor of the castle and destroy the Emperium. The War of Emperium is probably the most famous feature in the game and could also be one of the reasons on how the game still stands till today. Most players take place in it at least once a week while addicts join every one of them.

The graphic of the game might be a little to childish for a hardcore gamer but for some casual gamers, the graphic might be the least on what is on their mind. It is the gameplay and the WoE which unites the players and members on the guild to do their best in the game. Online games are always one of the best ways to get new friends but be careful not to make a lot of enemies in the virtual world. You might have too much of them already.

Shown here for the first time, these seventy-five patches reveal a secret world of military imagery and jargon, where classified projects are known by peculiar names (”Goat Suckers,” “None of Your Fucking Business,” “Tastes Like Chicken”) and illustrated with occult symbols and ridiculous cartoons. Although the actual projects represented here (such as the notorious Area 51) are classified, these patches-which are worn by military units working on classified missions-are precisely photographed, strangely hinting at a world about which little is known.

By submitting hundreds of Freedom of Information requests, the author has also assembled an extensive and readable guide to the patches included here, making this volume the best available survey of the military’s black world-a $27 billion industry that has quietly grown by almost 50 percent since 9/11.

Trevor Paglen is a geographer by training, and an expert on clandestine military installations. He leads expeditions to the secret bases of the American West and is the author, with A.C. Thompson, of Torture Taxi: On the Trail of the CIA’s Rendition Flights, which TheNew York Times praised as “the real thing . . . and not on the evening news.”

Mikhail Kalashnikov, designer of the world’s most popular assault rifle, says that U.S. soldiers in Iraq are using his invention in preference to their own weapons, proving that his gun is still the best.

“Even after lying in a swamp you can pick up this rifle, aim it and shoot. That’s the best job description there is for a gun. Real soldiers know that and understand it,” the 86-year-old gunmaker told a weekend news conference in Moscow.

“In Vietnam, American soldiers threw away their M-16 rifles and used [Kalashnikov] AK-47s from dead Vietnamese soldiers, with bullets they captured. That was because the climate is different to America, where M-16s may work properly,” he said.

“Look what’s happening now: every day on television we see that the Americans in Iraq have my machine guns and assault rifles in their armored vehicles. Even there American rifles don’t work properly.”

Some U.S. troops in Iraq have reportedly taken to using AK-47s in preference to the standard-issue M-16. The Cold War-era gun, renowned for its durability and easy handling, is plentiful in Iraq.

Kalashnikov designed his first weapon in 1947 and is still chief constructor at Izhmash arms factory in Izhevsk in the Urals mountains.

The factory’s director Vladimir Grodetsky told the news conference that around a billion rifles had been produced around the world using parts of Kalashnikovs or based on the same design, only 10-12 percent of which were made in Russia.

A any one sore valedictory address: No image stabilization. I don’t know in the neighborhood you, but I’ve come to rely on image stabilization to percolate my shaky-cam shots and turn blurry, running children into glacial action shots.
